Mysterious Date Pudding

This is good with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. With such odd ingredients, it’s fun for tasters to guess what’s in this pudding. — Aunt Betty


  • 1 c dates chopped
  • 1 c nuts chopped
  • 1 T soda
  • 1 c hot coffee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 T cocoa
  • 1 c mayonnaise


Combine dates, nuts, soda and coffee. In a separate bowl, mix together sugar, flour, cocoa and mayonnaise. Combined the two mixtures and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
