Pears a la Creme
An easy recipe for custard and pears in a rich, cookie-like crust. — Aunt Betty
- 2 cups biscuit mix
- 2 tbsp & 6 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 6 to 9 canned pear halves
- 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 cup sweet or sour cream
Mix together biscuit mix, 2 tbsp sugar, and butter until it looks like meal. Pat over bottom and halfway up sides of pan (8x8x2). Press down.
Drain pears and arrage cut side down on crust. Sprinkle remaining sugar on pears and bake 15 minutes at 375. Remove.
Mix together eggs and cream, pour over baked pears.
